the footring now forming the mouth of the inkwell, mounted in silver with an inner liner and a hinged cover, set with a jadeite bi disk and reticulated bead, the interior with a glass inkwell, the bottom formed from a silver plate supported on four tab feet and impressed with a mark reading Yamanaka L Sterling 04502-82
Condition
The bowl has a 1 ΒΌ inch (3.2 cm) Y-shaped hair crack running up from the base, (what would have been the rim of the bowl). Chip to rim of glass inkwell liner
