carved to one side with a pavilion in a rocky landscape with pine trees and mountains in the distance, the reverse with a seven-character inscription and two seals reading wen wan (for scholar's pleasure), mounted in a gold frame with diamond and emerald stones

The plaque is in overall good condition, though it has not been examined out of its mount.
