the rounded sides formed by overlapping lotus petals, set to either sides with lotus-form openwork handles of two flowers issuing from a single bound stem, the interior carved in relief with a center medallion of a single open lotus blossom, all raised on a double ring of further overlapping petals, the pale gray-white colored stone suffused with opaque white and olive green flecks and streaks as well as russet inclusions

There are losses to the tip of the lotus leaf on the base, and a small chip to the tip of the branch. The tip of one leaf on the handle has been polished, and there are minor nicks along the edges and extremities with overall expected wear.
