the rounded rectangular section vase raised on a rocky base, the sides carved in relief of birds perched and flying among prunus branches, the neck flanked by lion-mask handles suspending loose-rings, the cover similarly carved with a reticulated finial (2)

Condition
There are scattered nicks to the outer edge of the cover, as well as the inner edge, the rim of the vase and to the extremities. There is a fine stained crack that is natural to the stone on one side approx. 7 7/8 in., (20 cm) long, and on the other side approx 5 7/8 in., (15 cm) long.
