  • Jade and wooden base
of tapered cylindrical form, carved in shallow relief around the body with stylized taotie masks below a band of stylized dragons confronting a 'flaming pearl' and a band of archaistic scroll below the everted rim, the cover carved with a band of petals enclosing a reticulated roundel (2)

Condition

The cover is adhered to the body. There are scattered nicks to the edges. There are russet flaws to the lower section of the body.
