the compressed globular body raised on three cabriole legs terminating in paw feet, issuing from mythical-beast heads, carved in low relief around the body with stylized confronting phoenix, flanked by a pair of reticulated mythical-beast handles suspending loose rings and emitting swirls of vapor through their mouths, the domed cover further carved with three projecting heads suspending loose rings and surmounted by an openwork chilong knop, the stone of a grayish-green color with black and white inclusions, carved wood stand (2)
Condition
The censer has minor nicks to the rim and a section of the vapor missing on both dragon handles. The cover has two minor nicks to the vapor.
