of pebble form and well-hollowed, skilfully carved as a pouch gathered at the neck by a ribbon, the shoulder with a monkey climbing up on a grape branch clutching a lingzhi in its hand, a bee fluttering below, the white stone with russet skin on one side
Provenance
Acquired in China between the 1920s and 1930s and thence by descent.
Condition
There is some slight roughness to the russet side and the russet coloring is enhanced. The bottle is in overall good condition.
