the rounded sides rising from a tapering foot, the central medallion incised and picked out in green and aubergine enamels with two writhing dragons contending a 'flaming pearl', the exterior similarly decorated with four clusters of grape vines, six-character mark in aubergine within a double circle (2)

Provenance

Acquired in China, 1950s and thence by descent.

Condition

One with frit to foot, three hairline cracks to rim and a small chip to the rim. The other with four hairline cracks to the rim.
