thinly potted with a flared rim, the sides delicately painted in pastel enamels with a peony spray, day lilies and a detached chrysanthemum, together with a butterfly, the interior with one floral spray, six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle on the indented base
Provenance
Acquired in China, 1950s and thence by descent.
Condition
There is some minor wear to the enamels and very minor fritting around the footrim, otherwise the cup is in overall good condition.
