Condition
The right hand has been restored. There are a few chips to the curls on the figure's head, and a firing crack to the base. The interior of the base with a block of wood wedged inside.

Dehua figures of standing Buddha are rare and the present figure is unusual for its very large size. See two smaller figures of standing Buddha illustrated in Robert H. Blumenfield, Blanc de Chine. The Great Porcelain of Dehua, Berkeley, 2002, p. 56, pl. C and p. 57, pl. A; and two other smaller examples published in P.J. Donnelly, Blanc de Chine.
