of tapering ovoid form, the exterior delicately painted with two stylized phoenix with their wings outstretched, flying among scrolling foliage between double line borders around the rim and foot, the associated cover similarly decorated with floral scrolls, six-character mark in underglaze blue within a double circle (2)

Condition

Please note that the cover is a modern replacement. The vase with several cracks to the glaze on the interior. There is a small lump on the body of one phoenix under the glaze, as well as some kiln grit in the foot. The glaze has an orange peel appearance.
