of cylindrical form, the exterior delicately painted in a soft famille-rose palette with a continuous scene depicting a two-storeyed pavilion amidst an idyllic landscape with lush vegetation, moutainous cliffs and jagged rockwork, the pavilion with a large balcony occupied by a few scholars overlooking the tranquil seascape, one scholar depicted fishing with a bait, all below pink cloud swirls emerging from the mountains, the rippling waters detailed with a fishing vessel with three labouring fishermen
Condition
There are several enamel flakes to the decoration, especially to the green enamel, as visible in the catalogue photo on the trees above the balcony. Minor fritting to the foot. General surface wear to the body and other other minor flaws and pinholes.
