Description

the shallow rounded sides resting on a short straight foot, well painted in contrasting tones of vivid underglaze-blue, the centre decorated with lotus blooms issuing from leafy scrolling stems, the sides decorated with a composite floral scroll on meandering leafy stems, all below a classic scroll, the exterior similarly decorated, enclosed between a 'classic' scroll at the foot and a key-fret band at the rim, the base inscribed with the six-character mark within a double-circle 

Condition

There is an approximately 0.8 x 0.3 cm. flake to the rim and a few small glaze pulls to the mark of the base. There are also a couple of short firing kiln lines on the footring.
