Description

  • gilt-bronze, lapis lazuli, glass, stone
cast seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, the right hand lowered in varadamudra and the left hand raised to the chest, each holding a flower stem, wearing a dhoti embellished with beaded jewellery inset with turquoise

Condition

This figure is in good condition, but there are some areas of wear/loss to the gilding on the face, torso, arms, hands, legs, feet and the base. There is a 1cm curved dent to the underside of the base and some scratches to the reverse of the base and various areas of the figure. There is also a small chip to the top left area of the ushnisha.
