Description

each body of ogee form rising from a recessed base to a flaring rim, brightly painted and enamelled to the interior with a floret, peach and ruyi medallion encircled by the bajixiang in the well, the exterior with a foliate scroll band above ruyi lappets

Condition
Both have minor glaze firing imperfections and surface wear.
The cobalt-blue of one mark is lighter than the other, the bowl with the lighter mark has a restored rim chip (between double gourd and sword) measuring approximately 12mm by 6mm with an associated circa 3cm rim crack, and other shallow flakes. One bowl with a horizontal scratch to the exterior measuring 5.5cm, with associated loss to the green enamel. There is a burst glaze bubble to the rim. The other bowl is fired slightly yellow around the rim and the foot.
