Description

  • gilt bronze
the figure seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, her right foot resting on a lotus, the left hand in virtakamudra and the right in varadamudra, wearing a dhoti, a scarf draped across her arms and shoulders and ornate body jewellery, the head tilted to one side and the face with a serene expression, the hair pullied up in a high chignon, falling to each shoulder and framed by a five-pendant diadem

Condition

Unsealed and with a loss to lotus stem at left shoulder, otherwise in very good condition. Two small areas of bronze repair to the centre of the figure's back and to left toe. Wear and rubbing to gilding.
