Description

comprising of a pair of beaker vases and baluster vases and covers, each variously painted with panels enclosing European ladies, reserved on a ground of floral scrolls, all between ruyi and chevron bands, the base with an Artemisia leaf within a double-circle
Condition
One of the beaker vases has a large (1.8cm by 3cm) chip and 17.5cm associated crack to the rim . The other side of the rim is warped out of shape from the firing and there is a 1.5cm by 1.7cm chip to the foot There are also three other smaller shallow chips to the rim (2 x 9mm by 5mm and 1cm by 5mm). The other beaker vase has two 1cm by 5mm chips and numerous frits and other shallow glaze chips to the rim. One baluster vase has two cracks to the rim (6cm and 5.5cm) and the other has a 1cm by 3mm glaze chip to the foot. One cover has a restored finial and three chips to the interior rim and the other has one chip to the interior cover and both have numerous areas of fritting to the rim.
