oil on canvas, each variously painted with harbour scenes, glazed and framed

Condition

The long view of Shanghai is in poor condition, as it has a number of splits and tears to various sections of the canvas. The smaller river view, is in average condition, as the canvas has been laid onto board, and restored in various areas and rev-varnished. There is a very fine crackle to the surface of the canvas. The small beach scene has damage to the canvas to the left side and a horizontal split to the centre. The other small work has a split to the right side and both small work has crackle to the canvas.
