intricately carved in the form of a two-tiered boat consisting of screened rooms divided by pierced panels, with figures on the prow and the side, the upper deck similarly carved with screened rooms and a promenade lined with jardinières of plants, glass case

Provenance

Collection of James Broun Ramsay, 1st Marquess of Dalhousie and Governor General of India in 1848 -1856.

Condition

The top panel of the roof is loose and there is some damage to five of the pierced roof panels. There is damage to one of the pierced panels to the side and there are two figures missing from the front (bow). There is also damage (splits) to two places the right hand side of the hull at the rear (3cm and 1cm).
