Description

each modelled with its head thrust into the air, the tusks forming a double-spout, a tall cylindrical vase on its back forming the handle, its tasselled saddle painted to both sides with a horse

Condition

One kendi has some restoration to the rim, the edges of both ears and the tusks and an 8mm vertical crack from the rim. There is fritting to the rim, neck rim, the ears and areas of the trunk to the other. There are iron spots and burst bubbles to the glaze to both.
