each bird modelled in mirror image, with an alert expression looking towards the side, its eyes picked out in black and the plumage in yellow, green, puce and brown enamel and its breast in iron-red, standing on blue mottled rockwork bases

Condition

There is an area of restoration to the edge of the right hand wing of one bird (1cm by 4.5cm) and the end of the beak of the other (8mm by 1.3cm). There is also some minor losses and scratches to the iron-red enamel.
