Description

  • porcelain
each with a tall rectangular body rising from a circular foot to a waisted neck with lipped rim, decorated to each face with a recessed rectangular panel variously painted with figural scenes in elaborate interiors and open landscapes, all reserved on a pale blue ground gilt-painted with floral sprays at the corners, the neck with a lappet band and the foot with a keyfret border, signed Shiliang with one seal of the artist on one side, the base with a gilt and iron-red seal mark reading Jingdezhen zhi (Made in Jingdezhen)

Condition

These vases are in good condition, but there is a firing crack running around virtually the entire area of the centre of the rim to one. There is also minor rubbing to some of the gilding and some small burst bubbles and iron spots to the glaze.
