the large boulder hollowed to form a curled lotus leaf with furled edges, finely incised with veins, the exterior carved in high relief around the sides with two large lotus blooms and arrowheads borne on curved leafy stems, the stone of a celadon tone mottled with darker green and russet flecks, wood stand

Condition

There are two areas to the mouth that are most likely re-worked, one to the right side (approx 2.5cm long) and the other to the left (3cm long). There are other minor nicks to the rim and there are also a number of flaws running to the interior and to the sides. The colour is somewhat greener than in the catalogue.
