Description

  • bamboo, horse hair, ivory
of cylindrical section, the handle carved in low relief with long-tailed birds sheltered amongst leafy floral branches issuing from pierced rocks, all below a rectangular cartouche enclosing a six-character reign mark, the cover similarly decorated, inlaid with ivory ends

Condition

There are two splits to the cover running from the rim (3.5cm and 1.8cm). The brush is in good condition, but there is a small brown stain to the ivory terminal to one corner.
