- metal painted enamel
the rectangular body applied with raised flanges at the corners and sides, rising from four dragon scroll feet to an everted rim with upright loop handles, the body brightly decorated with a band of taotie masks and kui dragon scrolls beneath a narrow band of confronting dragons, the rim and handles encircled by keyfret bands, the stepped and pierced cover decorated with foliate lotus scrolls and surmounted by a gilt-bronze qilin finial, the gilt base reserved for a four-character seal mark in blue against white enamel, wood stand
Condition
One of the upright handles glued and slightly loose. The four legs possibly re-attached. Otherwise in good general condition with some faint cracks to the enamels.
