Description

  • gilt bronze painted enamel
each with shallow rounded sides resting on a spreading foot, softly painted to the interior with distant figures and cottages sheltered amongst a mountainous landscape with trees and shrubs, the exterior enamelled in blue with bamboo and rocks, the base with an orchid spray

Condition

The left hand dish in catalogue image: with approximately 6 cracks to enamels to interior and numerous shorter cracks to enamels to exterior rim. Inscribed number reading: 38 to base. The right hand dish: with two cracks to enamels to interior and otherwise in very good condition. Both dishes with minor surface wear, firing imperfections and wear to gilt-bronze mounts.
