Description

  • gilt bronze painted enamel
each with rounded sides rising from a gently flaring foot, the interior painted in green and blue enamel with a central medallion formed from entwined dragons, encircled by iron-red bats in flight amongst scrolling clouds, all reserved on a bright yellow ground, the base similarly decorated with a dragon medallion on a yellow ground

Bluett’s, London.

Condition

Both dishes in good general condition. One with a small 3mm chip and a 2mm flake beneath the metal-bound exterior rim. Minor firing imperfections and wear to the gilding. One dish with a partially removed Bluett's label to the base.
