the figure seated in lalitasana on a double-lotus base, her right foot resting on a lotus with her right hand in varadamudra and the left in vitarkamudra, wearing a dhoti and a scarf draped over the shoulders and the arms and pendant body jewellery, the head slightly tilted with a serene facial expression, the hair in a high chignon and falling to the shoulders, framed with a five-petal diadem

A European Private Collection.

Condition

Unsealed, losses to the semi-precious stone inlay and to the lotus stem underneath her right foot. Possible missing lotus stem by her arms and shoulders. Otherwise in good general condition, with characteristic wear and rubbing to gilding.
