  • gilt lacquered bronze
the figure seated in lalitasana on a qilin on a lotus base, the right hand holding a scroll, wearing long flowing robes and ornate pendant body jewellery, the face with a serene expression, the elaborate openwork tiara, centred with a figure of Amitabha Buddha 

Condition

A 25mm chip to the reverse edge of the base. Extensive losses to the gilt-lacquer and old loses to the tip of the tiara. The gilding of a much more reddish tone than as seen in the catalogue image.
