of upright rectangular form raised on four feet, comprising eight open compartments, the framework inlaid with mother-of-pearl lotus scrolls reserved on a red lacquer ground, the interior lacquered black

Provenance

Acquired in Monaco, 1991.

Condition

The lacquer shows general cracks and flakes, evident on the four legs. There are losses to the inlay such as the front feet and to the lower right of the cabinet. There is general rubbing to the mother-of-pearl inlay such that some details of the lotus blooms are lost. The back of the cabinet with a three character inscription.
