Description

  • lacquer, stained ivory and metal
each of square form, the top part divided into six open compartments and a pair of drawers, each open compartment framed by stained ivory foliate scroll borders, all above a pair of cabinets with double doors, decorated overall against a crackled brown ground with stylised lotus blooms borne on meandering leafy stems framed by square scrolls

Condition

Several of the ivory foliate borders have been re-glued and one is still loose. Minor cracks to the lacquer consistent with their age and minor flaking along the edges.
