of Warring States style, comprising of two interlocking parts in the form of two confronting mythical birds terminating in dragon heads, the body decorated in low-relief with stylised S- and C-scrolls, the stone of an even white tone
Provenance
Acquired in China in the early 20th century.
Condition
The buckle is in good condition with the exception of a 5mm., bruise to one edge and a 1cm., section of loss to the lower edge of one flange.
