Description

  • bronze
each of tapering cylindrical form, with the vent, reinforces, chase and muzzle divided by raised ribs, flanked by a pair of trunnion, inscribed with Chinese and Manchu, dated Daoguang ershiyi nian (Twenty-first year of Daoguang period, 1821)

Condition

Both canons have dents and minor losses across the surface, particularly evident at the extremities, which are in consistent to their age. There are traces of verdigris and rust-coloured patches.
