Description

  • gilt bronze
cast seated in lalitasana on a double lotus base, the right hand lowered in varadamudra and the left hand raised to the chest, each holding curved leafy stems, dressed in a dhoti embellished with beaded jewellery, crowned with a tiara in front of the high chignon

Condition

The bronze has loss to twenty-two areas of hardstone and turquoise inlay, a break to the lotus foot rest, loss to the flowers and part of the stems on both arms, nicks and dents around the base and light scratches and rubbing to the gilded decoration. The base is open.
