naturalistically carved, the body formed from a deep rounded lotus leaf borne on a base of ribbon-tied leafy tendrils and seed pods curling up the side of the vessel to form the handle, on the opposite side of the rim a small chilong clambers up to peer inside, the well-polished stone of pale celadon tone, carved wood stand

Condition

There are minor nibbling and small chips along the extremities, such as the ends of the bundled lotus stems and edges of the curled lotus leaf next to it. General natural fissures and inclusions to the stone. The stone is of a more celadon tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
