finely carved as an elephant standing four-square on ruyi-shaped clouds with its head turned sharply to the left, the well-polished stone of very pale celadon-white tone, pierced for suspension

Christie's Hong Kong, 1st November 2004, lot 1042 (part).

Condition

Minor chips to the extremities, including the tip of the elephant's tusk and the edges of the scrolling clouds. The elephant ear with a 0.3x0.2cm bruise.
