Description

  • Porcelain
each body with deep flaring sides rising from a recessed base to an everted rim, brightly decorated around the exterior with five leafy floral medallions divided by strapwork above a lotus lappet band, the mark in underglaze-blue to the base 

Condition

One bowl with three areas of polished rim, measuring 3cm, 1.5cm and 1cm respectively, possibly to conceal associated rim chips. There is a 1cm rim crack, and another 1.3cm C-shaped rim crack with associated chip. The other bowl has a 2cm area of polished rim, possibly to conceal associated rim chips. There is another 0.1x0.1cm rim chip. Both bowls with crazing to the interior, minor glaze firing imperfections.
