each with deep rounded sides rising from a short foot to a flared rim, the exterior covered in brilliant coral-red enamel, decorated in reserve with stylised meandering lotus scrolls, the outlines of the leaves and petals pencilled in iron-red, the interior glazed white, inscribed to the base with a six-character seal mark in underglaze-blue

Condition

One bowl with three rim chips, measuring 0.4x0.3cm , 0.3x0.2cm and 0.3x0.1cm. The other bowl with minor loss to the coral-red enamels near the foot. Surface wear.
