each with deep rounded sides rising from a straight foot to a gently flaring rim, incised to the base with a four-character seal mark within a double-square, the glass of a rich transparent blood-red colour

Condition

Both bowls with extensive surface scratchings, as consistent with age. Minor bubbles within the glass. The colour is of a darker tone compared to the catalogue illustration.
