each of rectangular form, elaborately decorated to simulate different levels of a shelf with bundle of books, scrolls, archaistic vessels and vases, brushpot, brushes and drawers, glazed wood frame

Condition
Inspected within its frame: One painting (top image in the catalogue image) has extensive paint flakes/loss across the surface, particularly to the books, the blue vase, and the right edge of the painting, as seen in the catalogue image. There is a network of short crackle along the rim. Some possible stains/mould to the right edge.
The other painting (lower image in the catalogue illustration) has similar possible stains/mould to the bottom left edge, and general paint loss (to a lesser extent) across the surface.
