- zitan wood, metal mounts
of rectangular form, the well-figured panels neatly joined, the top with ruyi-shaped baitong mounts at the four corners, extended to rectangular ones at the sides, the front set with a rectangular lock plate and hasp, flanked by a pair of slender bail-form handles
Condition
The top panel has two horizontal cracks (circa 11cm and 7.5cm) from the left edge, and a 10cm horizontal crack from the right edge. The base with a circa 12.3cm crack. Other minor cracks, as consistent with age. Minor chips along the extremities, general surface wear to the patina. The metal lockplates and handles have been reinforced, the surface slightly tarnished. The base later added with four felt-pads, one missing.
