  • jade and garnet
the ovoid body rising from a short spreading foot to a gently flaring neck, flanked by a pair of leafy floral buds forming the handle, the exterior carved in low relief with overlapping fluted floral petals above a band of acanthus leaves, decorated to the base with a stylised flowerhead, the domed cover similarly decorated and surmounted by a red garnet finial, the celadon stone with snowflake-white and darker green inclusions

Condition

There are three flaws/cracks to the rim of the cover 1.5cm, 1.2cm and 1cm long and there are some minor nicks to the base.
