  • jade, gold, red garnet
the rounded body divided into eight lobes resembling the form of a melon, the cover decorated with a gold and garnet-inlaid floral spray, the interior similarly decorated and separated into four compartments, carved to the base with elongated leaves and a curved stem, the stone of a greyish-celadon tone with snowflake-white and speckled black inclusions

Condition

This box and cover is in good condition, but part of the gold mount to the interior has been re-mounted at some point.
