of square form, supported on a rectangular plinth modelled with a pair of mythical beasts to the front, painted with two boys at play in a fenced garden, the reverse with a crane flying amongst scrolling clouds above a rectangular cavity pierced with three apertures, Japanese wood box

Condition

There is fritting to the top right corner of the screen and a related glaze chip (1.6cm by 1.8cm). There is also an area of fritting to the top of the front left support, the lower left edge below this, as well as the back right support and the top of the rectangular cavity to the reverse.
