Description

  • porcelain and wood box
the shallow rounded sides rising from a gently tapered foot to an incurved rim, covered overall with an olive-coloured glaze flecked with a fine yellow mist, the glaze thinning to brown at the mouth, the base incised with a six-character reign mark beneath a brown glaze, wood stand and Japanese wood box

Condition

The basin is in very good condition with the exception of some minor glaze firing imperfections including a couple of tiny blisters and some glaze pin-holes to the interior.
