the rounded sides rising from a flat base to a lipped rim, painted to the interior with a ferocious three-clawed dragon writhing from tumultuous waves above a leaping carp, beside a swimming carp and a smaller fish, the unglazed base inscribed with a six-character reign mark within a double circle
Condition
The everted rim has been trimmed and ground down. The basin has a restored section running in an arc from approx 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock. There is some minor fritting to the rim and some scratches to the glaze to the interior.
