Description

  • PORCELAIN
the tapering flat sides rising from a recessed base to an angled shoulder and tall trumpet neck with everted rim, painted in rich cobalt-blue and iron-red tones and moulded and celadon-glazed to each face with a rectangular panel enclosing a mountainous landscape scene, the shoulder with floral sprigs and the neck with flowers issuing from rockwork, the six-character mark in underglaze-blue to the base

Condition

This vase is in good condition, but does have a 5mm by 3mm chip to one edge of the side a third of the way up the vase. There is an area of fritting to the rim that has chipped and there is some fritting to the edges of the sides. There are various iron spots to the interior and exterior neck and sides. There are areas of dried glue to the base.
