the octagonally lobed globular body rising from a recessed base to a short straight rim, painted around the exterior in rich cobalt-blue tones with leafy lotus scroll between lotus lappet and classic scroll bands
Condition
The upper half of the jar broken into approximately nine parts and re-stuck. Circular apertures left from rivets visible to the interior along the break around the middle section of the jar. A 6mm area of infill to the rim. Polished chips to the interior lobes of the rim; the rest of the rim possibly polished. General surface wear and scratching to the glaze.
