Description

  • cloisonne enamel
of circular form, the domed cover and the sides decorated with stylised lotus sprays, the foot encircled by C-scrolls and circles, gilt to the rim, interior and base, the base incised with a four-character reign mark and a ru character

Condition

The enamels to the cover slightly different to those on the base, suggesting the possibility that the two are matched. A 1mm chip to rim of cover and a 3mm dent to inner rim of the box. Two small areas of infill to chips to box (one approximately 6mm at the rim; the other 10mm at the foot).
