Description

  • jade
carved recumbent on a curled lotus leaf, its wings tucked to the sides and detailed with finely incised plumage, grasping a leafy spray of flowering lotus in its beak, the stone of a milky-white tone suffused with attractive black inclusions

Condition

Small chips to the extremities of the carving: an 8mm and 7mm chip to the edge of the lotus leaf and a minute 1mm chip to the neck. Otherwise in good condition, the stone of a slightly less creamy tone than as seen in the catalogue image.
